Crest within garter is of the Waldegrave family– Somerset family.
 
The Waldegrave crest: A plume of feathers issuing from a ducal coronet within garter and ducal coronet above.
 
Maria Walpole, the granddaughter of Robert Walpole (first Prime Minister of the UK 1721 -41) grew up in Frogmore House, Windsor. In 1759 she married James Waldegrave, Second Earl Waldegrave, who died in 1763. In 1766 she married Prince William, Duke of Gloucester & Edinburgh, at her home in Pall Mall.
